Visit of CRESMAC by the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Congo
Friday 23/10/20, the CRESMAC was honored by the visit of His Excellency the Ambassador of the European Union in the Republic of Congo, Mr Raul MATEUS PAULA, accompanied by his First Counselor, Head of Cooperation, Mr Karl RAWERT.
The discussions revolved around the assessment of the level of satisfaction of the staff of the Center, achievements of European projects, past and present, for the benefit of the Gulf of Guinea maritime security architecture, for which CRESMAC is in charge of the Strategic dimension at the level of the Sub-region ECCAS. Particular attention was paid to the deliverables of the Project GoGIN (Gulf Of Guinea Inter-Regional Network), namely the platforms YARIS (Yaoundé Architecture Regional Information System) and TESS (Training and Education Support System) whose development has come to an end.
His Excellency the Ambassador reiterated the commitment of the’EU to work for the strengthening of cooperation and collaboration with the CRESMAC in his noble mission., the CRESMAC has shown determination to relentlessly pursue his mission, making sure to make the Six effective (06) Pillars of its strategy, to know:
- Information exchange and management
- Community surveillance of maritime space
- Harmonization of State action at sea
- Institutionalization of a Community tax
- Acquisition and maintenance of major equipment
- Institutionalization of a maritime conference in Central Africa.
